Library Cards
Library Cards are free to residents of the Fern Ridge Library District, which includes the City of Veneta, and the communities of Elmira, Noti and Walton.
Out-of-District patrons may purchase a card for $50.00 per family annually. Out-of-District patrons who are 65 or over may purchase a family card for $40.00. Cards for any amount of time less than a year are available for $5.00 per month.
Please bring proof of your current physical address. Acceptable proof includes either:
A valid Oregon driver’s license or identification card issued by the Oregon Motor Vehicle Division with photo and current residential address; or,
A valid temporary driver’s license with current residential address along with an official photo identification from a school or government agency; or
An official photo identification card from a school, government agency, etc. along with one of the following:
Property tax statement
Current lease
Bank statement
Utility bill
Teacher Cards are also available for educators or licensed childcare providers who work/live in the Fern Ridge District. To sign-up for a Teacher Card, please bring:
- A current driver's license with current physical address (PO box does not prove residency)
- Current work ID
- Pay stub from the last 30 days
- Proof of certification as licensed childcare provider in Oregon, if applicable
Student Cards are available for students ages 10-17 who live in/attend school in the Fern Ridge School District. For the 2024-2025 school year, Student Cards will also be made available for homeschooling students who live outside of the Fern Ridge School District. If you are a homeschooling family that wishes to get a Student Card for their child, please bring a your intent to enroll confirmation letter from Lane ESD and proof of online/charter school enrollment.
